Scrap Book Easter Egg

So I have NO idea what happened....all the pictures are the right way in my file....but they went all crazy in here....I hope you can still get the idea!!! Any ideas on how to fix it I'd love to hear them!!!!  I also want to apologize for the poor picture quality....I couldn't find my I had to use my phone!

This one is super simple!!! All you will need are some scissors, some glue (preferably glue stick), an egg outline if you are art challenged like I am, a pencil/pen, any form of colored paper...whether its scrap book papers, construction paper...We also used the old cookie sheet since we were doing our project on the floor :)

Cut the egg out...leaving the rest of the paper whole...

I used a whole sheet of my scrapbook paper and flipped it so the white side was up....I placed the egg template so that it was centered....

I traced the egg on the back of the paper...and cut it out

This is the piece of scrap book paper with the egg shape cut out....leaving the whole paper whole again....

Flipping the paper over so the white side is up...have your little one pick their strips of paper they want to use...

Have your little one use the glue on the ends of the paper

Then have them place the strip lining the glued ends up with the edges of the egg.....
Reehya chose to line her strips up at an angle...

Here is a glimpse of what it will look like part way through....

Once in a while things didn't line up exactly right so we took and glued an extra strip over the hole :)

Here is our final project!!!! :)

Come back and share your pictures with us!!! :)

Easter is quickly approaching! In-fact, it is in 26 days!!!! In years past I have been known to go over the top with Bug's Easter basket!

Last year I started to scale it down a bit but, you could say I still went over the top.

We don't typically give candy...we gave books and toys and maybe one treat of some sort.....

So, I am curious....what do you do for your little ones for Easter???

'I don't like that'

So lately any food I hand Bug...the first response out of her mouth is ' I don't like that ' ...

When she was a baby she would eat 3 months old I let her lick a pickle thinking I would get a funny face and instead...she LOVED it!!! She was even caught pulling a container of beets off the counter and finishing it off after dinner!

Now, the story is totally different. She will hardly eat anything. If it were up to her the world would consist of Macaroni and Cheese and Hot Dogs with the occasional waffle or cheese sandwich!

Its to the point where I can't even tell her what is for any meal because she will tell me 'I don't like it' and not touch it...where if I don't say a word and just set it in front of her she will at least try it but, typically the outcome is still 'I don't like it' .

I don't cater too her. If she genuinely doesn't like dinner (after she has actually tried everything on her plate) then she gets a peanut butter sandwich.

I'm hoping this is just a phase....anyone have any ideas??? If you have kid approved recipes I'd love you to share them in the comments!!!
