Straw Painting

This one takes a few more things then "normal" but it is still easy!!

All you need is: Construction paper, a couple very small containers, a very small amount of water, paints (finger paints will work too), a spoon, and a straw.

Have your child pick a couple colors

Put a tiny bit in the bottom of your containers...
(You can use as many colors as you [or your child] would like but 2 seemed to be about all Bug could handle]

Have your little one help you add the water. You only need a VERY small amount of water in each container...

Stir your paint and water until it is well mixed. The consistency should be a creamy paint...if its too water you will make a HUGE mess!

Use your spoon to put a small amount of paint on the paper for your child....

Your spot should be a little bit bigger then a quarter...

Place the straw about an inch about the paint and have your child blow through the straw...

Once they get the hang of that...you can add the next color...

I let Bug do it by herself but she had trouble with pinching off the air flow...

So I had to help her hold it...

After a few more tries she got it!!!
