Hand Print Flowers

The materials needed are: Construction paper, scissors, tape (or glue), a pen/pencil and if your hand is unsteady as mine is something to trace to make the middle of the flower

[Depending on the age of your child they may or may not be able to do this by themselves]

Have your child pick a color construction paper for the flower petals and put their hand on it to be traced

Trace their hand.
(If your child is as wiggly as mine they won't sit still to trace it more then once so just use the one you get as a stencil)

Cut your stencil out...

and trace it filling the rest of the paper

Trace your circle...

Then....

Draw your flower stem (and a couple leaves if you would like them)

Cut everything out

Have your child pick another color paper to mount the flower on

Tape the stem to the paper

Putting tape on the back of the hand prints flip it over and show your child where to put it down. (Do this all the way around the stem)

Put tape on the back of the middle spot and have your child place it in the center (or as close to it as they can get)

Then push it down to hold everything in place

Then you have a one of a kind flower to display!!
