Painting Pictures

Something as simple as sitting with your child while they are painting and talking to them about what colors they are using or counting the brush strokes can be a HUGE learning experience for your child. And, as a bonus they get quality one on one time with you!!!

All you need to do this is paint brushes, paints (finger paints work well),art smock, cups for paint and paper. [Using a paper plate to put paint colors on works well too!]

Have your child pick the colors they want to use. For younger children 3 seems to be pretty good but you can use as many or as few as you would like!

Put their art smock on.....

and let their creativity show!!

Encouraging your child to mix colors is a must!!

Clean up is simple. Warm soapy water for your child's hand and plain warm water will wash the paint brushes and cups out.
