Easter Eggs

Well, today got away from me as my car broke and we were trying to figure that out so this one is super simple.....but as promised here is our post!!

The items needed are:
*Construction paper
*Scissors
*Glue Stick - (Elmer's glue will work well too but may make a bit more of a mess)
*Sticky Foam Shapes (These are optional- we had these left over from Bug's birthday party!)

Have your little one choose the colors they would like to use.... Bug chose to use orange for her egg and this red and green for the decorations.

First I cut out some shapes and stripes for Bug to use since we were short on time but now is a great time to let your little one get creative and cut out their own shapes to put on if time allows!!

Next we cut out our 'egg' shape....

Using the glue stick have your little one glue the shapes and stripes to the egg. As you can see the stripes were wider then the egg so we just cut the extras off!

Here is our final product!!! This was just enough to keep Bug entertained while I made dinner! Let your kiddo get creative and add and decorate however they see fit! This is a great project for letting their full creativity shine! :)

Please feel free to come back and share your pictures on our facebook page! WE LOVE TO SEE THEM!!!

Baby Friendly Painting

Daylight savings has never been a problem with Bug....so with having the new baby I was wondering what would happen this time! He managed to get up at his 'normal' time....normal meaning the clock still read 7am!!! But oh man did I feel the difference!!! Needless to say, I am running slow this morning! I thought I would entertain him while I finished my coffee this morning so take a look at what we did!
This one is simple and pretty awesome if your little one doesn't like to get messy (as I am learning that my son does not!)

The materials needed are pretty simple too!

* A ziplock (I used a freezer bag as they are thicker)
*Washable finger paints
*Scotch Tape

Pick your paint colors (I used 4) and put a dime sized amount by the 4 corners of your bag - Seal your bag and cover the zipper in tape so that it cannot come undone.

Place your ziplock the table/counter or high chair tray- whichever is easiest for you depending on your kiddos age. Take your tape and secure the bag to the surface. Its hard to see but I have 2 piece of tape on each side of the bag to hold it into place

Now its time to play!!!!!

Sometimes it is fun to switch it up and give them toys to 'drive' on the paint....we also used balls to roll on there but those promptly landed on the floor :)

Super simple thing to keep them busy and the best part is the ease of clean up is the best!!! :)
