Rice Krispie Turkeys**

Ingredients needed are: chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, little candies (We chose mini Reeses pieces), Candy corn, butter, Rice Krispies, a large pan, 1 large bowl, and one medium bowl.

Measure the butter out...

Put it in the pan and melt on low heat...

Open the marshmallows...

Measure the marshmallows out and dump them in the bowl.

Measure the Rice Krispies out and dump them in a separate bowl.

[I found it easier to dump the marshmallows and rice krispies into the cup while Bug held it and let Bug dump them into bowls]

While waiting for the butter to melt we played in the Rice Krispies...

Once the butter is melted add the bowl of marshmallows stirring until the marshmallows and butter are melted...

Stir in the Rice Krispies making sure it they are as evenly coated as possible.

Roll up your child's sleeves and put some butter on their hands. Encourage them to "rub it in" so their hands are well greased.

Using a 1/4 cup scoop the Rice Krispie mixture out and form into balls...

While waiting for the Rice Krsipie balls to harden a little Bug enjoyed eating some Rice Krispie mix off the spoon :)

Dump the Chocolate Chips in a bowl (We used the same bowl we measured the Marshmallows into) and then add the oil.

Place the chocolate chips and oil in the microwave making sure to stir it every 30 seconds till its melted

Dip the top part of the balls in the chocolate...

[We found after making a HUGE mess (which was LOTS of fun) that letting the balls sit for about 5 min for the chocolate to set it was much easier to do the following steps and reduced the mess GREATLY!]

Add your small candies and candy corn to form the Turkeys..

Here are our final products :)....We chose not to use the Popsicle sticks....
